(Replaces Subclass 489 – Regional Provisional)

• Application through lodgment of EOI and invitation to apply

 Two streams:

• State/Territory nominated stream
• Family member sponsored stream
• Sponsor must be usually resident in a designated regional area
• Signed undertaking to assist sponsored family member to the extent necessary, financially, with accommodation and to participate in AMEP English language program for 2 years

 Primary applicant:

• under 45 years
• occupation on relevant skilled list
• Competent English
• Meet Points Test pass mark (65 points minimum)

         Schedule 6D – Points test changes on 16^th Nov 2019

• Additional Schedule 8 conditions: 8578, 8579, 8580, 8581
• Pathway to Subclass 191 - Permanent Residence (Skilled) after three years
