As a result of Australia's Omicron COVID-19 outbreak, foreign students will be allowed to work more hours to help alleviate worker shortages. Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that the federal government will lift the 40-hour-a-fortnight cap on student visa-holder workers, allowing them to work as many hours as they want.In May of last year, the forty-hour work limit for international student visa holders in the tourism and hospitality industries was lifted.
