Australia is projected to need 1.3 million highly skilled tech professionals by 2030! To address this growing demand, the Department of Home Affairs has expanded the Skills in Demand visa and Core Skills Occupations List (CSOL). As a result, ACS's scope of assessment has expanded from 25 to 35 ANZSCO codes, adding 10 new occupations in high-demand fields, including:
* 224114 Data Analyst
* 224115 Data Scientist
* 261315 Cyber Security Engineer
* 261316 DevOps Engineer
* 261317 Penetration Tester
* 262114 Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance Specialist
* 262115 Cyber Security Advice and Assessment Specialist
* 262116 Cyber Security Analyst
* 262117 Cyber Security Architect
* 262118 Cyber Security Operations Coordinator
While the new visas were introduced in December, ACS is working diligently to update systems, processes, and people to support these new ANZSCO codes. Expect a Go Live date for updated website and assessment portals on Wednesday, 15 January 2025.
