Critical Technology Visa Screening 1 April 2024

Applicants for visas are presently screened for critical technological concerns in accordance with Public Interest Criterion 4003B.
In accordance with visa condition 8208, it is mandatory for student (subclass 500) visa holders to obtain authorization from the Minister for Home Affairs prior to commencing a novel critical technology-oriented academic program.
Certain types of critical technology are now designated as "critical technology" by the Minister of Home Affairs in accordance with the Migration Regulations.
